Ahead of the weekend, we have some photos for you from our grazing area at the Gródek. Horses will remain in these plots as long as weather and foraging conditions permit. In 2020, they grazed here until December.
There is also our area in the electric fence near the horse lot that is mowed after the breeding season.
As part of the new project, we plan to expand the area protected by electric fencing. There are common curlews roaming the area every spring that we have a huge craving for. However, it looks like the birds are resting in our plots but flying on to return to their old breeding grounds. Maybe next year there will be a new couple who will choose our Gródek as their summer home.
In order to increase the area suitable for waders, we plan to construct another dam, repair two culverts, build a 1.24 km long causeway, and dig two ponds.
