11The Great Snipe protection in the Upper Narew project comes to an end. Almost all planned actions were implemented and their results are visible in the field and in monitoring reports. Before us the time of settlements and conclusions as well as further work on keeping up the project results. It is also a good moment for presenting what we have managed to achieve, sharing experience and thanking our colleagues, contractors, experts and sponsors.

Therefore on September 22-23 we organized a seminar attended by circa 40 participants. The first day was dedicated to presentations on Great Snipe, the project actions and the results, on the second one a visit to the meadows and pastures of PTOP nearby a village of Trześcianka took place. Here was a chance to see the restored meadows, built fords and fenced pastures, watch the results of the grazing, meet Polish Konik korses and Polish Red Cows (a native, primitive horses and cattle breeds), everything basked in autumn sun. Only the star – Great Snipe – was missing.
